Bob and Pam Phillips have broad experience in all things string. After teaching public school orchestra for 28 years in both classical and alternative styles settings, Bob is retired (again) after serving as the Director of String Publications for Alfred Music. He is an award winning composer and arranger and has authored many books for string orchestra and string education. He has served as the President of the American String Teachers Association and, in 2013 Bob was inducted into the University of Michigan School of Music Hall of Fame. Pam’s background includes editing, arts administration, producing and booking shows and recordings, and project management. Pam retired as an Editor for Strings and Suzuki publications for Alfred Music. Both speak regularly at music conferences and in-services. While focused on strings, Bob and Pam also work on instrumental music education and musical education of all sorts.
